Plate tectonics and stuff

QuestionAnswer
Lithospheric plates the plates (sections) that make up the Earth’s crust and very top of the mantle.
Litho means stone or rock
Divergent boundary location where two lithospheric plates are moving apart
Convergent boundary location where two lithospheric plates come together and collide
Transform boundary where two lithospheric plates slide past each other
Faults places on Earth were the rocks break.
Normal fault fault caused by tension forces
Reverse fault fault caused by compression forces
Strike-slip fault fault caused by shearing forces
Ring of Fire an area in the Pacific Ocean where volcanoes are common
