Revolution The movement of an object around another object or point.
Star Huge globe of hot gases that shines by its own light.
Axis Imaginary line on which an object rotates.
Comet Small space object that orbits a star and can have a tail.
Meteor Piece of rock or metal from space that enters Earth's atmosphere.
Refracting telescope Instrument that uses two lenses for viewing distant objects.
Reflecting Telescope Instrument for viewing distant objects that uses a curved mirror.
Meteorite Material from space that lands on Earth.
Constellation Pattern of stars in the night sky.
Planet Large body in space that orbits a star and does not produce light of its own.
Rotation Spinning motion of an object on its axis.
