| Use: | Slow ventricular rate in AF and AFl, to Rx VF & VT |
| Adv Eff: | Vasodilation & neg inotropic effects; hypotension...occasionally brady(elderly), phlebitis, flushes/sweating |
| Contras: | KSAR, cross sensitivity to iodine |
| Dose: | VF: Adult 300mg over 30-60seconds, paed 5mg/kg VT, AF & AFl: 150mg springfuser(10min, 7ml), paed 5mg/kg |
| Special note: | potentiaters: Digoxin, Dilantin, B blockers, Ca channel blockers |
