Forms of energy

QuestionAnswer
Energy The ability for doing work; types of energy include mechanical, thermal,electrical, light, and sound
Thermal Energy A form of energy that is transferred by a difference in temperature
Mechanical Energy It is the energy associated with the motion or position of an object.
Convex Having a surface or boundary that bulges OUTward.
Refraction The bending of a wave, such as light or sound wave (Ex: Camera, telescope,and eyeglasses)
Light Energy A form of energy that travels in waves and can move through empty space
Concave Having a surface or boundary that curves INward.
Reflection The bouncing of light, heat, or sound off a surface (Ex: Tinted car window)
