Density The measure of how closely packed an object's atoms are.
solid The state of matter that has a definite shape and a definite volume.
Change in state A physical change that occurs when matter changes from one state to another, such as from a liquid to a gas.
Matter Anything that has mass and takes up space.
Decay to become decomposed; rot: vegetation that was decaying
Liqiud The state of matter that has a definite volume but no definite shape.
physical change A change in which the form of a substance changes but the substance still has the same chemical makeup.
magnification the act of magnifying or the state of being magnified
weight the amount or quantity of heaviness or mass; amount a thing weighs.
mass The amount of matter in an object.
microscope A tool that makes small objects appear larger
gravity The force of attraction between objects.
volume the amount of space, measured in cubic units, that an object or substance occupies.
gas The state of matter that does not have a definite shape or volume.
chemical reaction a chemical channge: reaction or change in a substance, produced by chemical means, that results in a different substance.
oxidation the process or result of oxidizing. 2. the deposit that forms on the surface of a metal as it oxidizes.
