| competition | struggle between organisms to survive trying to use the same limited resource |
| predation | interaction where one organism kills another for food |
| predator | kills one organism for food |
| prey | gets killed by a predator for food |
| symbiosis | a relationship between 2 species that benefits at least one species |
| mutualism | relationship between 2 species where both benefit |
| commensalism | relationship between 2 species where one benefits, other is not affected |
| parasitism | relationship between 2 species where one benefits, other is harmed |
| parasite | organism in parasitism that benefits, by feeding off of host's blood |
| host | organism in parasitism that is harmed, loses blood & nutrients |
