| natural selection | The process where a characteristic in the organism makes the organism fit in better to its environment and may eventually become common in that species. |
| adaptions | The things that help the organisms live in there specific environment. |
| niche | The role an organism plays in it's habitat, or how it makes a living. |
| cempetition | When 2 or more organisms try to survive by using the same limited resource. |
| predation | When one organisms kills the other and eats it for food. |
| predator | The organism that eats the other organism for food. |
| prey | The organism that is eaten by the predator. |
| symbiosis | A relationship when both species benefit. |
| mutualism | A relationship where both species benefit. |
| commensalism | A relationship where one species benefits and the other species does not get effected. |
| parasitism | When one organism lives in the other organism and benefits and the other organism gets harmed. |
| parasite | The small organism that benefits. |
| host | What the organism lives in or "the harmed one in parasitism." |
