interctions among living things

worddefinition
natural selection The process where a characteristic in the organism makes the organism fit in better to its environment and may eventually become common in that species.
adaptions The things that help the organisms live in there specific environment.
niche The role an organism plays in it's habitat, or how it makes a living.
cempetition When 2 or more organisms try to survive by using the same limited resource.
predation When one organisms kills the other and eats it for food.
predator The organism that eats the other organism for food.
prey The organism that is eaten by the predator.
symbiosis A relationship when both species benefit.
mutualism A relationship where both species benefit.
commensalism A relationship where one species benefits and the other species does not get effected.
parasitism When one organism lives in the other organism and benefits and the other organism gets harmed.
parasite The small organism that benefits.
host What the organism lives in or "the harmed one in parasitism."
