Ab- Away from example: Ablation
Ad- Toward, to or near example: Adrenal
Ecto-, exo- Outside or external example: Ectopic Pregnancy
Endo- with or inside example: Endometriosis
Epi- on, above, or over example: Epidural
Anterior or Ventral Front or towards the front example: Sternum
Posterior or dorsal Back or towards the rear example: Spinal cord
Superior Situated above or higher example: Eyes
Inferior Bellow example: Stomach
Lateral Away from the midline example: Thumb
Distal Away from the center of the body example: Wrist
Proximal Near the center of the body example: Shoulder
Ambi- Both example: ambidextrous
Dys- Bad, difficult, painful, or abnormal example: Dyslexia
Eu- Good, well, normal, or true example: Eupnea
Homo- Same, identical example: Homogeneous
Iso- Equal, Similar example: Isotonic
Mal- Bad, difficult example: Malignant tumor
-algia Pain example: Fibromyalgia
-emia A condition of the blood example: Anemia
-itis Inflammation or infection of a specific body part example: Arthritis
-lysis Meaning to loosen, free or destroy example: Hemolysis
-oid Resembling, like, in the shape of example: Rheumatoid
