What are the indications of Diazepam? - Tachycardia due to stimulant overdose - Sustained seizures - Anxiety - Sedation
What are the contraindications of Diazepam? Known hypersensitivity to medication.
What are the adverse side effects of Diazepam? - Respiratory depression - Hypotension - Nausea/ Vomiting - Sedation/ Amnesia
What is the adult dose for Diazepam? 2.5 - 10 mg in 2.5 mg increments slow IV/IO/IM
What is the pediatric dose of Diazepam? 0.1 mg/kg in 2.5 mg increments slow IV/IO/IM (Max of 5 mg) 0.2 mg/kg rectal dose (Max of 10 mg)
