What do judges consider when making decisions in these matters? Whether the defendant has breached their obligations to the claimant and whether that breach caused the loss
What are the Civil Procedure Rules and where do you find them? Rules that govern proceedings in the County Court. They can be found online
What is the Overriding Objective and why is it important? To deal with cases justly and at proportionate cost. It encourages early settlement
What are the main courts involved in the litigation process? - County Court - High Court
When is the County Court used? Claims for money of £100k or less Claims for damages or personal injury less than £50k
