QuestionAnswer
Cells The smallest unit of an organism that can carry on the life functions.
Tissues A group of similar cells that work together to do the same job.
Organs Structures, such as the heart, made up of different types of tissues that all work together.
Organ System A group of organs that works together to perform body functions.
Nucleus Organelle that controls all the activities of a cell and contains DNA.
Organism Any living thing that is made of cells, uses energy, reproduces, responds, and grows and develops.
Bacteria Microorganism made up of a single cell without a nucleus. It can be helpful or cause diseases.
Virus A strand of hereditary material without a nucleus, organelles or cell membrane. It causes diseases.
Specialized Cells Cells that are designed for specific purposes or jobs.
Organelle The structures inside a cell having some specific function. Ex. Nucleus
