QuestionAnswer
Wavelength The distance between two adjacent crests or troughs of a wave.
Electromagnetic spectrum All of the frequencies or wavelengths of electromagnetic radiation.
Spectrum A range of electromagnetic radiation that is ordered by wavelength or frequency, such as the band of colors that is produced when white light passes through a prism.
Probe An unscrewed vehicle that carries scientific instruments into space to collect scientific data.
Artificial satellite Any human made object placed in orbit around a body in space.
NASA The national Aeronautics and Space Administration.
Spinoff A commercialized product incorporating NASA technology or "know how" that benefits the public
Launch The process of setting a rocket or spacecraft in motion.
