Seasons

| Seasons | The different times of the year (spring, summer, fall, winter) that have different weather patterns |
| Equinox | A time when day and night are about equal in length all over Earth. Happens twice a year. |
| Solstice | A time when the Sun is highest or lowest in the sky, giving us the longest day (summer) or shortest day (winter) of the year. |
| Earth's Axis | An imaginary line that runs through the center of Earth from the North Pole to the South Pole that Earth spins around. |
| Earth's Tilt | The angle of Earth's axis (about 23.5) that makes different parts of Earth get more or less sunlight during the year. |
| Hemisphere | Half of Earth. The planet is divided into the Northern Hemisphere and the Southern Hemisphere. |
| Rotation | The spinning of an object, like Earth on it's axis. |
| Revolution | When an object goes around another object, like Earth going around the Sun. |
| Spring | The season when the weather starts to warm up after winter. Plants begin to grow, flowers bloom, and many animals become more active. |
| Summer | The warmest season of the year. Days are long, the sun is high in the sky, and plants grow quickly. |
| Fall (Autumn) | The season when temperatures start to cool down after summer. Leaves change color and fall off trees, and days become shorter |
| Winter | The coldest season of the year. Days are short, temperatures are low, and in many places it may snow or freeze. |
