Human Impacts On The Environment
| Term | Definition |

| Overpopulation | When the number of humans grows beyond the available resources. |
| Death Rate | The number of deaths per 1000 individuals for a certian time period. |
| Sustainable use | The practice of using resources in a way that they will continue to be available in the future. |
| Agriculture | Using the land to produce food. |
| Deforestation | The removal of forests and trees to use the land for other reasons. |
| Expontential Growth | The rate of change that increases more and more rapidly over time. |
| Pollution | The contamination of Earth's land, water, & air by the release of harmful substances into the environment. |
| Conservation | The practice of using fewer resources so that they can last longer. |
| Desertification | The advance of desert-like conditions into an area that was once fertile. |
| Birth Rate | The number of births per 1000 individuals for a certain time period. |
