Structures and Information Processing

QuestionAnswer
How do structures help organisms survive? They perform functions needed for growth, survival, and reproduction.
What is an example of an internal structure and its function? Example Answer: Lungs help animals breathe.
What is an example of an external structure and its function? Example Answer: Fur helps keep animals warm.
How does light allow us to see objects? Light reflects off objects and enters the eyes.
What do sense receptors do? Detect information from the environment.
How do animals respond to sensory information? Their brain processes it and triggers a response.
Why are different receptors specialized? Each detects specific types of information (light, sound, touch).
How does memory affect animal behavior? It helps animals use past experiences to guide actions.
How do plants respond to their environment? They respond to stimuli like light and gravity.
