Prokaryote cell that doesn't have a nucleus
Eukaryote cell that has a nucleus
Cell Membrane allows certain things to move in and out of the cell
Nucleus directs all activities of the cell
Nuclear Membrane allows certain materials to move in and out of the nucleus
Chromatin genetic blueprints - hereditary material (chemical that controls the activities of the cell)
Endoplasmic reticulum (ER) moves materials throughout the cell
Cytoplasm gel-like material inside the cell, it holds the cell together
Ribosomes makes protein
Protein used by organisms for growth and to replace and repair cells (made from chromosome)
Nucleolus (inside the nucleus) makes the ribosomes
Golgi Complex packages material
Mitochondrion energy is released by breaking down food molecules
Lysosome digests/breaks down waste and worn-out cell parts
Vacuole stores food, water, and waste products
Cell wall supports and protects the plant cell
Chloroplasts this is where light is changed into food (sugar) (plants only)
Centrioles involved in cell division (animals) (note: only the animal cell has centrioles
