Predator An animal that hunts and eats other animals.
Prey An animal that is hunted and eaten by another animal.
Predatory relationship involve predators hunting and eating prey
Competitive relationship involve organisms trying to obtain the same resources in an ecosystem
Symbiotic relationship involve long term interactions where at least one of the organisms benefits
Mutualism two species live among one another while both benefit from the relationship. Each species provides something for the other.
Parasitism a parasite lives on or within a host organism. The parasite benefits while the host is harmed.
Commensalism two organisms live closely together. One benefits, while the other is neither harmed or helped.
Parasite an organism that lives on or inside another organism getting food and shelter at the organism's expense
Host a living organism that is harmed in a parasitic relationship
