Abiotic Factors non-living elements of the environment that influence the way that organisms and ecosystems function
Biotic Factors living factors in the environment ; related to, produced by, or caused by living organisms
Ecosystem a community of interacting living organisms and the physical environment that they live in
Food Web a representation of several overlapping food chains in an ecosystem; includes the flow of energy from the Sun through producers to consumers and decomposers through multiple pathways
Survive to continue to live or exist
Organism an individual living thing
Producer an organism that uses energy from the Sun to make its own food
Consumer an organism that cannot make its own food
Decomposer an organism that breaks down dead plant and animal material
