Bonds Hold atoms in compounds together
Valence Electrons Electronable that are available to form bonds.
Octet rule and duet rule atoms want eight electrons in their outer shell
Ion atom that has a positive or negative charge.
Ionic bonds formed when one or more electrons are transferred from on atom to another.
Covalent bonds formed when electrons are sharred between atoms.
Molecule the smallest unit of most compounds
Van der Waals forces intermolecular forces of attraction between the positeve region of one molecule an the negative region of another molecule.
