| heterozyogous | having gene versoins that are different. |
| homezygous | having gene versoins that are the same. |
| inherit | to recievie genes from a parent. |
| sexual reproduction | the process in which two parents pass on their genes to create offspring. |
| asexual | the process in which only one parent passes on its genetic informtion to create offspring=cloning |
| recessive | the trait is inherited only if the offsping inherits 2 copies of the allele for that trait (represented by lower case letters) |
| dominant | the trait is inherited as long as the offsping receives at lest one copy of the allele for that trait (represented with capitol letters) |
| chromosome | a long piece of DNA that contains many genes. |
| dna deoxyribonucelic acid | type of moleucle thats genes and chromosomes are made of. |
