Fundamental FeatureExplanation
Federalism The govt of india is divided into central and state govt
Parliamentary Form of Govt Similar to the UK, the parliament is the supreme institution and represents the people
Fundamental Rights The constitution provides certain rights to the people of india
Separation of Powers Provides for the three organs of the govt: legislature, executive and juidiciary
Directive Principles of State Policy These principles are certain ideals particularly economic, which the state should strive for and achieve.
Fundamental Duties 42nd Amendment act, 1976. The main idea was that if citizens enjoyed rights they also have duties to fulfill towards the nation.
