| dilute | makes liquid thinner and lowers the concentration |
| constraint | a limitation, boundary, or restriction that reduces the possible motions, behaviors, or states of a system |
| criterion | the standards, rules, or benchmarks used to judge, evaluate, or validate scientific theories, models, and experimental data |
| carrying capacity | the maximum population size of a species that a specific environment can sustainably support over time without destroying its resource base |
| correlation | a statistical measure expressing the strength and direction of a linear relationship between two or more variables |
| causation | the relationship between two events or variables where one event (the cause) directly causes or produces a change in another event (the effect) |
| aesthetic | the study of beauty, elegance, and symmetry as they relate to scientific theories, data, and empirical experiences |
| finite | systems, populations, or resources that are limited, bounded, and will eventually reach an end |
