| White Dwarf Star | A small, hot, dim star that is the leftover center of an old star. |
| Supernova | A gigantic explosion in which a massive star collapses and throws its outer layers into space. |
| Black Hole | A region of space having a gravitational field so intense that no matter or radiation can escape. |
| Newton Star | A spoonful of this type of star's matter would weigh 100,000,000 tons on Earth. |
| Sprites, Elves, & Blue Jets | Lightning |
| Super Giant | A very large, very bright red giant star |
| Life Cycle of a Star | Nebula, protostar, star, red giant, planetary nebula, white dwarf, black dwarf |
| Planetary Nebula | A huge cloud of gas that is created when the outer layers of a red giant star drift out into space |
| Protostars | A developing star not yet hot enough to start nuclear fusion, a newborn star |
| Solar System | Sun, planets, and all the other objects that revolve around the sun |
| Asteroids | Rocky metallic objects that orbit the sun but are too small to be considered planets |
| Comets | Balls of ice, rock, and dust in space with a tail |
| Meteorites | Meteoroids that pass through the atmosphere & hit Earth's surface |
| Solar Nebula | A rotating cloud of gas and dust that formed our solar system |
| Protoplanetary Disks | Disks of gas and dust around young stars. |
| Terrestrial Planets | The names given to the four inner planets: Mercury, Venus, Earth, and Mars |
