| Tropics is: | The area between the Tropic of Cancer (23.5 N) and the Tropic of Capricorn (23.5). It receives direct sunlight all year round. |
| Global Circulation is: | The movement of air around the planet. |
| Troposphere is: | The first layer of the atmosphere where most weather events happen. |
| Convection cells are: | Self-contained (blocks of) loops of fluid or gas driven by density differences caused by uneven heating. |
| Hadley cell is: | Between the equator 0* to 30* N which blows air from Northeast to Southwest. Trade winds. |
| Mid-latitude cell is: | Between 30* to 60* N which blows air from Southwest to Northeast. Westerlies winds. (Ferrel Cell). |
| Polar cell is: | Between 50* to the North pole which blows air from the North. Polar Easterlies. |
| Intertropical Convergence Zone is: | The low-pressure belt where the Northern and Southern Trade winds meet, converge, and go straight upward creating thunderstorms, rainfalls, and clouds. |
| Subtropical High is: | A belt of high-pressure located roughly at 30* N and 30* S. |
