TraitA characteristic or feature
Variation The differences within a trait.
Organism A living thing.
Phenotype The way an individual looks for a specific trait
Cell Smallest unit of a living organism
Nucleus The information center of the cell. Contains DNA
Karotype A visual representation of an organisms chromosomes.
Chromosome Found in the Nucleus of most living cells, carrying genetic information in the form of genes.
Genes A gene is a segment of DNA that contains instructions for making proteins or controlling other genes. These are passed down from parents to children.
Asexual Reproduction Single parent produces genetically

Allele a variant of a gene
Geno type a genetic make up of an organism
Receptor A protein that receives information from outside or inside cell.
Gene A heritable factor that controls a trait
Homozygous having identical alleles on a gene,
Heterozygous having a different alleles on a gene.

Probability The chance that a given event will occur
Convergent Where plates move toward each other .
Transform A boundary where plates move past eachother
Anatomy The study of the structure of a plant or animal
Comparative Anatomy The study of the similarities and differences in the anatomy in the anatomy of different species, which provides evidence for evolution.
Independent Variable Variable that you change/ are in control of.
Dependent Variable Thing that we measure thing that changes bc of independent variable.
Force Push or a Pull
Line of best fit Average of line. A line that goes through the center of the data. Which can make predictions.
Gravity Force that pulls things to earth
Deform Process of changing shape.
Collision when two objects touch.
Motion Movement when things move
