Fossil Fuels and Sedimentary Rock

| Fossil Fuel | Fuels formed from the remains of decaying plants and animals: Coal, Oil, and Natural Gas |
| Renewable resources | Resources of energy that continue to be reused over time such as air (wind, water, sunlight, and trees |
| Nonrenewable resources | Resources that cannot be replaced in a short amount of time: Coal, Oil, and Natural Gas |
