natural resource a material found in nature that people can use
coal a black fossil fuel rock found deep inside Earth that used to be a plant from millions of years ago and now can be burned for energy.
renewable resource a natural resource that is easily and quickly replaced - within our life time
oil a liquid resource that is found deep inside Earth made from plants or minerals from millions of years ago and now can be used for cooking or burning energy
non-renewable resource a natural resource that can NOT be replaced eaily and quickly - takes millions of years
natural gas an invisible, odorless gas that is burned for energy - also a fossil fuel made from plants and animals from millions of years ago
