LA - Adjectives

What are demonstrative adjectives? this, that, these and those That book is Max’s. “That” is the demonstrative adjective modifying “book.”
What are the interrogative adjectives? which, what, whose Which book is Max’s? “Which” is the interrogative adjective that modifies “book.”
What are compound adjectives? An adjective made up of more than one word. Can be hyphenated or closed compound. “Homemade” pasta - homemade is a closed compound; well-known fact - “well known” is a hyphenated compound
What are possessive pronouns used as adjectives? my, our, your, its her, his and their. My dog is a pain. “My” is a possessive pronoun used as an adjective to modify dog.
What are possessive nouns used as adjectives? When a noun has an ‘ or ‘s after it to describe something. Max’s book is broken. “Max’s” is a possessive pronoun that modifies book.
What are indefinite adjectives? An adjective that doesn’t give specific information about a noun. All, both, some, each, few, many, most, much, neither, several. Max is having some M&Ms before dinner. “Some” is the indefinite pronoun that modifies M&Ms (how many M&Ms)
What is the difference between indefinite adjectives and indefinite nouns? An indefinite adjective comes before a noun and an indefinite noun does not have a noun after it. Both dogs are being a pain. “Both” modifies and is before dogs, so it is an indefinite adjective. Both are being a pain. There is not a noun after “both” so it is an indefinite noun.

What is an indefinite article? a, an A dog is being sold.
What is a definite article? the The book is broken.

What is a proper adjective? A proper noun used as an adjective. Max’s dog is annoying. “Max’s” is a proper adjective

What are nouns used as adjectives? Works that are usually nouns, but are put in front of another word to modify that word. Video games are fun. “Video” is a noun used as an adjective because video can be a noun too.
