| Arpeggio | Scale degree 1, 3, 5, and 8 of a scale. |
| Bar lines | Vertical line of the staff that divides music into measures. |
| Beat | Constant sound that keeps that music going. |
| Bow Lift | Comma above a rest, lift your bow in circle |
| Common Time | 4/4 |
| Double Bar | Two bar lines marks the end of section or piece |
| Dotted Half Note | 3 beats in 4/4 time |
| Down Bow | Pull the bow from frog to tip |
| Dynamics | How loud the music is |
| Forte | Loud- F |
| Half Note | 2 beats in 4/4 |
| Half Rest | Hat-looking |
| Hooked Bowing | two or more notes are played in the same bow direction |
| Key Signature | Tells which notes are sharp or flat in a piece of music, for example, d major is a key signature. |
