MUSIC

melody a single line of notes heard in succession as a coherent unit
rhythm the ordering of music through time
harmony the sound created by multiple voices playing or singing together
texture based on the number and general relationship of musical lines or voices
timbre the character of a sound
dynamics the same music can be performed at many degrees of volume, from very soft to very loud. Dynamics determines the volume
form a single melody is too short to constitute a complete work of music. Based on repetition, variation, contrast, or a combination of them
