| evidence | information about the natural world that is used to support or go against a claim |
| reasoning | the process of making clear how your evidence supports your claim |
| scientific argument | a claim supported by evidece |
| prokaryotic | smallest, simplest cell that make up single cell organism and lack a nucleus |
| eukaryotic | cell containing specialized internal organisims |
| nucleus | the control center of the cell, holds the dna |
| mitochondria | bean shaped organelle that releases energy from grucose molecules for the cell to use |
| cell membrane | barrier around the cell that controls what goes in and out of the cell |
| vacole | large storage organelle found in plants stores water, food and sometimes waste |
| chloroplast | organelles plant cells that store chlorophyll where light energy is turned into glucose during photosynthesis |
| organelle | membrane bound thruscures within the cell that have specific jobs |
| cell division | when a parent cell duplicates it contents and then divides into 2 new cells |
| DNA deoxyribonucleic acid | genetic information that is located n the nucleus , and is passed from parent to offspring |
| ribosomes | organelle that make proteins for the cell |
| cytoplasm | gel like substance that fills the cell |
