Selectively permeable A property of cell membrane that allows some substances to pass through while others cannot
Passive transport The movement of materials through a cell membrane without using energy
Diffusion The process, which molecules move from an area of higher concentration two an area of lower concentration
Osmosis The diffusion of water molecules through a selectively permeable membrane
Active transport The movement of materials through a cell membrane using cellular energy
Explain how materials move in and out of the cell Material materials are absorbed through the membrane of cells
Know the different types of membrane transport and how each works Passive transport means is a material through the membrane
Explain the difference between facilitated diffusion and diffusion Add water helps to the the the diffuse fuse material into a cell
