Reproductive Anatomy

| Seminal vesicle | pouches behind the bladder that produce fluids that become part of semen |
| Urinary bladder | organ in the lower part of the abdomen that stores urine before it leaves the body through the urethra |
| Ovaries | small, oval-shaped glands located on either side of the uterus that produce eggs and hormones for menstruation and pregnancy. |
| Fallopian tubes/oviducts | connect the ovaries and uterus where fertilization occurs and a fertilized egg travels to the uterus. |
| Uterus | hollow, muscular organ in the female reproductive system where a fertilized egg implants and develops during pregnancy |
| Uterine lining | inner lining of the uterus that undergoes cyclic changes in response to hormones to prepare for possible embryo implantation |
| Cervix | The lower, narrow end of the uterus (womb) that connects the uterus to the vagina |
| Vagina | stretchy, muscular tube located in the pelvis that connects the uterus to the outside of the body |
