| cell wall | a stiff outer layer found in plant cells that helps the plant keep its shape |
| cytoplasm | the jelly-like material inside a cell where all the parts float |
| nucleus | the "brain" of the cell that controls what the cell does |
| chloroplasts | the green parts in plant cells that use sunlight to make food for the plant |
| structure | how something is built or the parts that make it up |
| function | what something does or its job |
| magnification | making something look bigger than it really is |
| beneficial | helpful or good for you |
| harmful | something that can cause damage or be bad for you |
| microorganisms | tiny living things that are so small you need a microscope to see them |
| microscope | a tool that makes tiny things look bigger so you can see them clearly |
| organisms | any living thing, like a plant, animal, or tiny microorganism |
| prevention | actions taken to stop something bad from happening |
| viruses | tiny germs that can make you sick, but they are not made of cells |
