What structure is the main site of gas exchange? The alveoli
What are the bronchi? Airways that branch from the trachea into the lungs carrying air to bronchioles
What is lymph? Fluid containing water, proteins, fats, and immune cells
What are lymph nodes? Filters that trap pathogens and house immune cells
What is the B-Cells responsible for? Producing antibodies
What is the T-cells responsible for? Killing infected cells
What gland controls metabolism? The thyroid gland
What gland is known as the master gland? The pituitary gland
What part of the brain controls breathing and heart rate? The medulla oblongata
What are the main functions of the circulatory system? It transports nutrients, gases, and wastes.
What is tidal volume? Air moved in or out during a normal breathing
