hydrosphere the portion of Earth that is water
latitude the distance north or south of the equator; expressed in degrees

water cycle the continuous movement of water between the atmosphere, the land, the oceans, and living things
weather the short-term of the atmosphere, including temperature, humidity, precipitation, wind, and visbility
conduction the transfer of energy as heat through a material
convection the cycling of matter due to differences in density; the transfer of energy due to the movement of matter
radiation the transfer of energy as electromagnetic waves
