action- reaction forces for every action, there is a reaction.
magnitude how strong a push or pull is.
newtons first law of motion an object at rest or in motion will stay at rest or in motion unless a force acts on it.
newtons second law of motion force = mass x acceleration
newtons third law of motion for every action there is an equal or opposite reaction.
net force the sum of all forces
balanced force stays still
unbalanced force moves
Newton (N) unit of measurement for force
horizontal left to right
vertical up and down
a force diagram a visual model of all forces acting on an object.
inertia newtons first law of motion
force push or pull
gravity pulls things down to the ground
friction when two objects rub together
magnetism a force that can push or pull metals
applied force a force that you or something else pulls or pushes.
normal force pushes you to the sky.
