Deciphering the Code

PFT pulmonary function test : a test that measures how well the lungs work
CPR cardiopulmonary resuscitation: an emergency procedure used to restore breathing and circulation.
EKG Electrocardiogram: A test that records the electrical activity of the heart.
Parkinson's Pulse A type of pulse irregularity associated with certain cardiac conditions.
NC Nasal canula- A device used to deliver supplemental oxygen through the nose

Addison’s Disease Though primarily endocrine, it affects digestion due to low cortisol (named after Dr. Thomas Addison

Cushing’s Syndrome Hormonal disorder caused by excess cortisol (named after Harvey Cushing).
