Nucleus - Boss -Structure that directs all the activities of the cell
Chromosomes - Visible bodies - Organized form
Cytoplasm - Cell liquid - Gel-like material inside cell membrane and outside nucleus - 90% water
DNA Hereditary info that stays in nucleus
Cell membrane - Security guard - Structure that forms outer boundary of cell - Allows certain materials in and out of the cell - Semipermiable ( some things can go through)
Mitochondria - Generator - powerhouse of the cell - Site where sugar molecules are broken down and released
Cell Wall - Made of cellulose - Rigid Structure outside the cell membrane - Supports and protects cell
Chloroplast - Solar panels -Organelles in which light energy is changed into chemical energy - Coverts sunlight to sugar ( photosynthesis) - Important chemical- Chlorophyll- green pigment
Vacuole - Ware house -serves as temporary storage
Ribosome - Produce protein - recieves message from nucleus RNA
