Non-vascular plant A low growing plant that lacks true vascular tissue for transporting materials.
RHIZOID A thin root like structure that anchors a M oss and absorbs water and nutrients for the plant.
Vascular plant a plant that has two vascular tissues for transporting materials.
PHLOEM The vascular tissue through which food move in some plants.
Xylem The vascular tissue through which water and minerals move in some plants.
Pollen Tiny structure (male gametophyte ) produced by seed plant that contain the cell that later becomes a sperm cell.
Seed The plant structure that contains a young plant and a food supply inside a protective covering.
Gymnosperm A plant that produces seeds directly on the scales of cones, not enclosed by a protective fruit
Angiosperm flowering plant that produces seeds enclose in a protective fruit.
pigment 1 a colored chemical compound that absorbs light2 a colored substance used to color other materials.
