| Nonvascular plant | Are low-growing, have tin cell walls, and do not have roots for absorbing water from the ground. |
| Rhizoids | Thin root-like structures and they anchor the moss and absorb water and nutrients. |
| Vascular plant | Are plants with true vascular tissue. |
| Phloem | This is where the food move in. |
| Xylem | The vascular tissue where the water and then minerals move. |
| Pollen | Tiny structure produced by the seed plant. |
| Seed | The plant structure that contains a young plant and a food supply. |
| Gymnosperm | A plant that produces seeds directly on the scales. |
| Angiosperm | A flowering plant that produces seeds enclosed in a protective fruit. |
| Pigment | A colored chemical compound that absorbs light. |
