Formation of Landforms

| Canyon | Deep, narrow, and steep-sided valley carved by the erosion of water over a long period of time. |
| Delta | Area where a river flows into a body of water and sediments accumulate, forming a triangular-shaped landform. |
| Landform | Naturally occurring features on Earth's surface that result from weathering, erosion, and deposition. |
| Sand dunes | Naturally occurring landform composed of wind-blown sand |
| Valley | A low-lying area of land surrounded by higher landforms, such as mountains or hills. |
| Weathering | Breaks it; Breaks down of material by wind , water, or ice. |
| Erosion | Takes it; The movement of the sediments by wind, water, ice, or gravity. |
| Deposition | Drops it; The dropping of the sediment in a new location. |
