Chemical Reactions

Atoms tiny pieces of matter - all the stuff in the world - is mad of
Chemical reaction A process in which atoms rearrange to form new substanses
model An object, diagram, or computor program that helps us understand something by making it simpler or easier to see
Product An ending substance that is made during a chemical reaction
Property Something that can be observed about a substance, such as color, smell, or boiling point
Reactant A starting substance that is part of chemical reaction
Rearanged To change the order or position of somthing
Scale The relative size of things
Substance Something that is made of all the same atoms or group of atoms
Boiling point The temperature at which a substance changes from the liquid phase to the gas phase
Chemical formula Letter and numbers showing the types and numbers of atoms that reapet to make up a substance
Extended Formula A structure formed by repeating groups of atoms linked together in a large network
Melting point The temperature at which a substance changes from the solid phase to the liquid phase
molecule a group of atomes joined together in a particular way
Ferterlizer a substance that is added to soil to help plants grow
corrosive able to cause damage
