Light and Circuits
| Term | Definition |

| Reflection | The bouncing off of light rays from the surface of an object such as a mirror or other shiny surface. |
| Refraction | The bending of light rays, bending light means that it changes direction and/or speed. |
| Absorb | When light is taken all in and absorbed, specifically in black surface objects. |
| Prism | A solid glass object that light can pass through, refracts, and splits it into the colors of the rainbow. |
| Medium | A substance, (solid, liquid, or gas) through a substance through which light can or cannot travel through |
| Insulator | a material that does not allow electrical energy to flow through |
| conductor | a material that allows electrical energy to flow |
| transform | to change from one form of energy to another |
| current | the flow of electricity in a circuit |
| circuit | a closed path along which electrical current flows |
| Light Energy | A type of energy that travels in a straight line |
| Mirror | Smooth surface that reflects an image of what is in front of it. |
| lens | Piece of clear material, such as glass or plastic, that bends light rays as it passes through |
