Earth's Rotation Space

| Rotation/Spin | The spinning of a planet or moon on its axis |
| Sunrise | When the Sun appears to rise from the horizon in the morning on the East side. |
| Sunset | When the Sun appear to go down on the horizon in the evening, usually on the West side. |
| Revolve/Orbit | To move around another object in a circular path. |
| North | The direction needed for a compass to follow. |
| Shadow | A dark area or shape produced by a body coming between rays of light and a surface. |
| Noon | 12pm or mid-day. The sun is usually directly overhead. |
| Dawn | The first appearance of light in the sky before sunrise. |
| Dusk | The darker stage of twilight as the sun goes down. |
| Position | A place where someone or something is located or has been put. |
