Where does translation occur? In the Cytoplasm
What are the phases of Mitosis? There are 4: Prophase, Metaphase, Anaphase, Telophase (*remember PMAT)
How many types of tissue are there? 4: Epithelial, Connective, Muscle, and Nervous
There are three primary germ layers to tissues what are they? Endoderm, Mesoderm, and Ectoderm
Describe the structure of connective tissue: Sparsely arranged cells surrounded by large portion of extracellular matrix often containing structural fiber and sometimes mineral crystals
Where would I find epithelial tissues? outer layer of the skin, lining of resp system, digestive system, urinary system, reproductive tract, and glands of the body
Function of muscle tissue: produces body movement, movements of organs such as the stomach, heart, and produces heat.
Where is nervous tissue found? Tissue of the brain and spinal cord, nerves of the body, sensory organs of the body.
