| Cytoplasm | Jelly-like material between cell membrane and nucleus. |
| Nucleus | Contains genetic information and controls the cell. |
| Nuclear membrane | Contains pores (tiny holes) that allow certain things like ribosomes to move in and out of the nucleus. |
| Nucleolus | Makes and assembles ribosomes. |
| Ribosome | Makes proteins, located on ER or can float in cytoplasm. |
| Endoplasmic Reticulum | Transports materials & makes cell membrane (lipids). |
| Mitochondria | Produces energy for the cell. |
| Golgi Apparatus | Prepares & ships protein. |
| Vesicles | Small packages that transport material in and out of the cell. |
| Lysosomes | Special vesicles that break down/recycle material. |
| Vacuole | Stores water & other dissolved material. |
| Cytoskeleton | Provides the cell with structure & shape. |
| Cell Wall | Outer covering that supports & protects plant cells. |
| Chloroplast | Produces energy from the sun; site of photosynthesis. |
