| condensation | When gases hit cool air and changes to liquid |
| water vapor | Water in its gas state |
| transpiration | When water vapor rises from plants into the air |
| accumulation | The gathering of water in lakes, seas, or oceans |
| humidity | The amount of water vapor held in the air |
| hurricane | Large, swirling low pressure system that forms over the warm Atlantic Ocean. |
| stratus | Blanket like layer of clouds |
| cumulus | Billowy, puffy clouds with flat bottoms |
| cirrus | Wispy, feather like clouds |
| precipitation | any form of water—such as rain, snow, sleet, or hail—that falls from clouds in the sky to the Earth's surface |
| tornado | A violently rotating column of air that crosses land in a narrow path |
