power grid a network for delivering electricity from suppliers to consumers
load following the practice of adjusting the power output of electric generators to match the varying power demand
power producer the power plants, solar and wind farms that produce electricity
power consumers the homes and businesses that use and pay for the electricity
base load the minimum level of demand on an electrical grid over a span of time
peak load when the electrical grid is experiencing its highest demand
blackout a complete loss of electrical power in a given area
brownout a reduction in the availability of electrical power in a particular area
