Mixtures and Solutions

mixture a physical combination of two or more substances
heterogeneous mixtures mixtures that have parts that are not uniformly mixed together. ( a salad!)
homogeneous mixtures mixtures that are uniform or the same throughout (a solution - sugar water, tap water)
solution a mixture of substances that are blended so completely that they mixture looks the same everywhere
